cant figure out what on myt ocmputer is beeping!

Post by zamadatix »

i hear the beep that comes with windows dialogue boxes (not a system beep but a windows beep) it seems to happen every 10 minutes or so and its really getting on my nerves. the only programs i have running are firefox and pidgin neither of which have anything happen if the beep goes off (i always have these programs running though) i can not find anywhere that has a box, message etc or anything.

please save whats left of my sanity!

Go into device manager and disable the Beep Driver.

Open the "sound" window ( right click desktop - personalize) and , under the sounds tab, scroll down the list and see if you can idntify the sound. Then, if you wish, you can change it or disable it.
