Nope, I've got it working on my Vista with no patches and without overwriting the original Aero theme, just follow the instructions that were posted earlier

Nope. The theme engines are very different.

I'm failing to see any difference between the two, they look exactly the same.

The Build 6519 theme has Maximised Glass and a refined gradient on the taskbar, with the 7-style up-down tray button.

Strange, I'm using the 7 msstyle and have neither maximised glass or the popup tray button. Guess I should go poke around.

Update: OK I just ripped the whole Aero folder from 7 and replaced the standard Vista Aero folder with it and its working.

Using this definitely borked up my Vista x64 SP1 style... I couldnt read the linked post so i just renamed everything named 'aero' to 'aero7'... it showed up but with alot of black rectangles on the search options and the Themes preview picture

Has anyone else noticed that when using the Win7 Aero theme Advanced Search options break in Explorer? So, if possible, if someone has the standard Aero theme from SP1 x64, can you upload it somewhere so I can ditch the Win7 theme without reinstalling. Cheers.

If i remember correctly running sfc /scannow will fix your theme.

It will, but it will also replace all my other modified system files. I just need the theme.

Nice style, but I have 1 question. Are there any major differences betwen Windows Seven and Windows Vista. I know Seven is still an early alpha.
