Well, today we havent done any useful. Our teacher has shown us his OLPC with Quake 2 running on it, he spent the last two weeks in getting Windows XP run on it...

I didn't even know you could get them in Germany. Do you know how he got ahold of his (just out of interest, I won't actually be buying one)?

I didn't even know you could get them in Germany. Do you know how he got ahold of his (just out of interest, I won't actually be buying one)?
He bought two of them on eBay for €1000

And he said, that he is the first person who got XP running on it, here are some screens:

Thanks, but these show a Linux distro with a pretty standard Xfce4 desktop Nice, though.

Yeah, this isnt Windows XP, but this are the only screens I got.
Ill ask him for more screens, and for screens with XP

Here are two videos of XP running on the OLPC. The first one is XP running with QEMU on Ubuntu, the second one is XP's command line without Linux.
