Battlefield Bad Company Xbox 360 Beta

Post by InsaneNutter »

Burn the ISO to a DVD and it will boot fine on a none modified Xbox 360!
To play place the DVD in the console and go to Games Library > My Games > All Games > Battlefield:Bad Company Closed Beta > then launch the game.
You will also be able to play online fine, although do so at your own risk.

If this boots fine on my unmodded 360, it might offer a way to exploit the box and allow full control of the machine. It has interesting exploiting exponential. Thanks!

It will boot on an none modded 360.

I hear demo's downloaded from Xbox Live can also be burned on to a DVDR and will boot fine. If you modify the content of the demo it breaks the digital signature so the 360 will refuse to boot it anymore so I don’t think it will lead to an exploit. I would love to be wrong! Just think Xbox Media Centre with HD abilities and all that processing power for emulators

Aren't digital signatures there just to hack them..?

Well theres been distributed attacks on the signature, with no success
Maybe someone should use PS3s to do the distributed attack... irony at its finest

The Beta still works online? I’m sure they closed the beta servers a long while ago.

As this beta was taking up a lot of room and no one had downloaded it for a few weeks I’ve taken the HTTP mirror down now and replaced it with a torrent.

If Xbox 360 Beta’s are allowed on the BA FTP server I can upload it there.
