Windows Longhorn 3718 Server /w MCE

Post by Ludacris »

Hi.
Hounsell, Swift C. and I are making an custom version of Longhorn (again) but this time it is 3718. We are making an server build out of it and we will also make the green Plex that was shown in the Promo Video.
Screens will come later.

Ah, to hell with that. Here are some screens already

So Far, greenPlex has been entirely developed by me, but hopefully, Swift and Ludacris are going to help with that as well

@hounsell
A question – are you working on getting the server components to function just as on a genuine server build? And off-topic: I suppose you created that "Longhorn FLP" build tag yourself?

Yes, that is what we intend. Im taking the components from Whistler 3718 Advanced Server, and transplant them.

Also I'd like Media Center and Tablet PC to be in there as well

And yes, thats my build tag on FLP.

yeh, well, not much has happened with the msstyle yet

Also, i cant work on it at the moment, as ive just got (pretty much) a new PC, so ill need to reinstall 3718
I guess work will restart sometime in the new year, other than any work Ludacris, Swift or m4rkuz does...

Yeh, i plan to release greenPlex separately. The server components are just an extension to the original project i started which was just the modified system files to create greenPlex

*BUMP*

Hey, anyone, Is this project still going?? i would like to know

hounsell

Post by hounsell »

Um, nice bump. But sort of. It is still going, just very slowly. If anyone can help integrating things such as testing out the server components, porting .nets, etc, please contact me through either PM or MSN. Maybe things will speed up eventually, but I'm just about to enter my GCSE exams, so things will be slow for another month or so
