This build is so cool. It has a fully functional IE's download manager. And Firefox works fine.

Ive installed it in VMWare so i cant test.
But i think all you need is:

Code: Select all

%windir%/I386/sbctl.exe start

Did you get the patched ISO?

What is this final step of setup, the file copying.

If it is, format the disk using something else, as this build appears to have the formatting bug in the setup.

I installed this on a test machine instead of a vm. My iso still works, you may have a improperly patched iso. SO grab the one that I uploaded.

the "%windir%/I386/sbctl.exe start" could activate glass, unfortunary i only have a radeon 9200 on here. Only a gray boarder appear, the window moves slowly like how glass would work. So i believe glass could be activated. I think one would need a radeon 9800+ or a geforce 6 6600+ to have glass working properly.
besides glass is very buggy, i have rebooted four times to upload this shot here.

anyways, heres what i got.

EDIT: btw the first screenshot on the first page with the glass window is a concept. It appeared on OSBA a year ago to show how glass should look like in longhorn. The proof is that only the boarder have glass, the buttons and address bar remains blue. Second, the game folder's text is different, in the gree area, the g in gameLibary is capital in 4039 with no links at the right side. Plus it has no build tag in the concept screenshot.

did you install on a clean partition? it looks more like steup is trying to write some boot files but you have boot files on your partition and is preventing them to be overwritten.

I wouldn't blame the iso if i were you.

This Build is totally harrowing. I have 100% cpu usage. The complete Desktop hangs most time. This build is a total wast of time. I'm reformating my disk now.
