For those of you who thought MS-Paint was useless...

Post by KenOath »

I came across a youtube video of someone taking 2 1/2 hours to paint
the Mona-lisa in MS-Paint, I thought it was quite an achievment...

The video in question.

Not beta related. Moved to Off Topic Discussions.

I can see about 20 or so non-beta related posts in the same
"General Chat" section, didn't think I was posting in the wrong section
seeing it was a topic about a program found in every Microsoft operating
system ever made...

I always try to move topics I see not fit for the particular section. Unfortunately I do miss some and I've only just started being rigorous with what I move since the "post in the correct section" announcement.

That is beyond amazing. Wow.
Since January 2005, I've been in the Operating Systems Prototype Community. I've enjoyed learning more these past four years about the development of the Windows and Macintosh operating systems, as well as learning of new user-based projects that optimize system performance.

I call BS. The way that things were done and the way that they were done, I expect someone wrote a program to use paint to draw a predetermined image

The topic wasn't focused on whether someone or something did it in
paint, but rather that it was done in paint itself...

For some who can steady their hand, paint is best used on a tablet PC...

Sure. You ever see those photo booths at Chuck E Cheese, the mall, whatever, where some "virtual artist" draws your photograph. That is what this is... only they hooked into mspaint

Not bad, but not amazing either, there are loads of videos like that on the internet.
I guess there's alot of people who have too much spare time on their hands, lol ...

I mean, how often do you think " I'm bored, what shal I do? ... I know! I'll draw the Mona Lisa in Paint! " ....

I've seen the real Mona Lisa up in Paris as well, it's alot smaller than you'd think!

http://www.youtube.com/user/EclecticAsylumArt
THEN decide if its fake
its not only in MS Paint
he uses "real" media
like french fries + ketchup to make the Supersize Me movie poster

Is there a reason why many of the Paint artists use the "Fill" tool to make it turn to different shades of grey and then back to white in the final edition? Possibly because of the edges being smoothened?
